Sleep Onesie 3.5 TOG Daisies

The Sleep Onesie is a TOG-rated alternative to a sleeping bag, for babies that do not like sleeping bags but are still too young to use blankets, or for older toddlers and preschoolers who are blanket-training. The Sleep Onesie makes it different from the other pouches in our range as it has legs rather than a ‘bag’. Regardless of its shape, the Sleep Onesie is TOG rated to be designed for use in sleep, without the need for blankets. Simply layer underneath with Pyjamas or Layers for added warmth.

The Sleep Onesie can be used from age 6 months for those children that don’t like the restriction of a sleeping bag, but the ideal age range is for preschoolers transitioning to a big bed and blankets.

When your little one starts ‘blanket-training’ they may kick off their blankets at night and get cold, resulting in waking. Using a Sleep Onesie underneath their blankets will help keep them warm should this happen. We suggest following our What to Wear temperature guide to ensure you do not overheat your child.

The Sleep Onesie has feet cuffs to cover feet during sleep. If this is not enough, feel free to pop on a pair of light socks underneath the cuffs. As children regulate their temperature through their extremities, be careful not to put too many layers on their feet. Note, cold hands and feet during sleep is normal with a newborn and baby as their bodies cannot yet regulate temperature. As long as their core is warm and dry to touch, they are warm enough during sleep. You can test this by placing your hand on the skin of their nape or upper back. The skin should feel warm and dry to touch.
