Meet the Easy Sleep Portable Crib

This lightweight crib is for your newborn to sleep in for naps around the house, on the go, or overnight when away from home. Pulling double-duty, the Easy Sleep Portable Crib can also act as a safe and clean place to put baby down when out and about for tummy time, play, or simply gazing up at the trees.

Care

Warnings

Use only the mattress provided with the product. Never add a pillow, comforter, loose blanket or another mattress for padding.
To reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), paediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their back to sleep.
Do not suspend strings over a bassinet, or attach strings to toys.
Do not use if any parts are missing, damaged or broken.
Periodically check product for loose, damaged or missing parts. Contact ergoPouch for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed. Do no substitute parts.
This product is designed as a safe sleep area for a newborn infant until they start to roll. Discontinue use once baby shows signs of rolling, or has reached 9kg, whichever comes first.
If a sheet is used on the mattress, use one specifically designed to fit the dimensions of the mattress.
Do not lift the bassinet when a baby is inside it.
Not to be used as a co-sleeper.
Use only on flat, hard surfaces on the ground.
Never leave a child unattended.
For correct and safe use of mosquito net, please ensure the net is attached securely to buttons located on the outside of the bassinet and fully extended over the outside frame. When the net is not in use, please detach

Can I use this from birth?

Yes, the Easy Sleep Portable Bassinet is safe to use for sleep from birth.

How much does the crib weigh?

The crib weighs 2.2kg, making it lightweight enough for portability, and sturdy enough for sleep.

Can I take this on a plane?

Yes, the bassinet folds down to fit into a backpack (included) and therefore can be taken on board as carry on luggage. The bassinet will fit in most overhead lockers on a plane (please check wiith your airline first).

Will the crib support my baby’s size or weight?

An infant up to 9kg can safely use the Easy Sleep Portable Crib. The crib is 80cm long and 49cm wide.

Does the crib meet safety standards for sleep?

In Australia, there are no specific safety standards for cribs. However, we have designed the Easy Sleep Portable Crib with safety features in mind, as guided by Red Nose Australia and INPAA. The breathable mesh body on all sides provide good ventilation, the high sides are made with a sturdy steel frame measuring 30cm, and the thin, firm mattress is designed to ensure the crib is safe for infant sleeping.

Can I use this as a co-sleeper?

We do not suggest this is used as a co-sleeper in your bed.

Does it come with a stand?

No, at this stage the bassinet does not come with a stand. For safe use, always place the bassinet on a low, flat, smooth and hard surface such as the ground, during sleep. Ensure the safety lock on each side is in place before placing baby in bassinet.

What age can I use this up to?

We advise you discontinue use once your baby shows signs of rolling, or is 9kg (whichever comes first). Please do not use for sleep, for a baby who is rolling. Once your baby is rolling, you can still safely use the bassinet as a play space during awake time.

Can I use it for overnight sleeps as well as day naps?

Yes. The safety features of the bassinet make it safe to use for both naps during the day, and overnight sleep.

Can the HugMe Blanket or fitted sheets be used with the Portable Crib mattress?

The crib-sized HugMe Blanket is designed to be fitted closely to a firm mattress for a standard sized crib. The Easy Sleep Portable Crib is a thin, smaller mattress designed for travel, and as such the HugMe Blanket would not fit closely on this mattress.

The fitted sheet range in the crib size can be used on the Easy Sleep Portable Crib. When you first put a new fitted sheet on the mattress, the elastic might pull the mattress ends up. If this happens, allow some time for the elastic to stretch and the mattress to settle down before placing baby in for sleep. You can quicken this process by adding a light weight on top of the mattress. Please remove this weight before placing baby to sleep in the crib; the sleep space should be free of any other products, bedding, loose items or toys.

I bought this bassinet for my 3rd child and it has been a god send! We live in Rural Australia, so everything and everywhere we go is a fair distance away and being able to have my son have his own bed wherever we go that is so compact is awesome!
